Composite Bonding
Our specially trained cosmetic dentists skilfully apply, shape and polish a tooth coloured resin over your existing teeth to address issues such as chipped/ cracked teeth, discolouration, unevenness, as well as gaps.
A cost effective alternative to porcelain veneers and orthodontics, composite bonding is minimally invasive cosmetic procedure which is performed in a single visit, addressing a wide range of aesthetic concerns.
Composite Bonding can fix:
Chipped/ Cracked Teeth
A similar coloured resin is used to restore the tooth’s natural shape and appearance.
Misshapen/ Uneven Teeth
The overall shape of teeth can be improved to achieve better symmetry and overall harmony
Shorter Teeth
Uneven tooth lengths can be addressed so that all teeth are in line with the others
Discoloured/ Stained Teeth
The desired shade of resin is used to cover the discolouration, improving the tooth’s overall appearance.
Gaps Between Teeth
Small gaps can be closed and the edges reshaped, negating the need for orthodontic treatment.
Exposed Tooth Roots
Can be used to build up exposed tooth roots where gums have receded to protect sensitive tooth roots.
Composite Bonding VS. Composite Veneers
Composite Bonding and Composite Veneers are essentially the same procedure. Composite Bonding generally refers to the addition of resin to specific areas of your tooth to restore shape. For example, to close a gap between teeth or to repair a chip in a tooth. Composite Veneers involve applying the composite over the entire surface of the tooth to change the overall appearance. This may be to change the shape, colour and texture of the tooth. Composite Veneers can be used to treat a singular tooth, or multiple teeth to transform the entire smile.
For patients who desire to change the appearance of their entire tooth surface, an additional consideration is whether to go for Composite Veneers, or Porcelain Veneers. There are benefits and limitations of both options and this is something that your dentist will be able to advise you, based on your specific needs. As an overview, some key differences between Composite and Porcelain Veneers are outlined below.

Our Process - From start to finish, a conservative pain-free approach
Step 1: Vision
It all starts with you and what you want to achieve. We take the time to listen to your concerns and the results you want to achieve in ensuring composite veneers are the right fit for you.
Step 2: Smile Design
Based on your specific goals, we work collaboratively to design the perfect smile. Depending on the application, we may select multiple shades of resin to recreate the realism found in natural teeth.
Step 3: Application
The composite resin is applied to the tooth and shaped until the right proportions are achieved. The composite resin is hardened with a special light before it is contoured and polished.
Step 4: Refinement
Once the composite resin has been crafted, your bite is adjusted to ensure correct contact and comfort when chewing. Treatment is painless and rarely requires anaesthetic.
